Scoping UK Urban Natural Capital Accounts - Extension to develop temperature regulation estimates - NR0172

Description
A study to extend the existing analysis of local climate regulation benefits of natural capital to cover the entire UK. It builds on the methods developed in the UK Urban Natural Capital Scoping Study (NR0167).
Objective
The aim of this study is to extend the existing analysis of local climate regulating benefits of natural capital in GB urban areas to:

(i) better account for climate differentials across GB in terms of sparial variation in the number of days exceeding particular thresholds;
(ii) incorporate temperature regulation provided by blue space;
and (iii) incorporate the impact of other forms of green space (e.g. private gardens)
