Description
The aim of this project is to carry out an interim evaluation of the Pumlumon Project over its first six years, coupled to a scoping study exploring the potential for closer links with downstream beneficiaries in England to incorporate PES approaches into the project. The Pumlumon Project, managed by Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust (MWT), is a conservation project that has been operating for six years, making land management changes within and around the Pumlumon Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) which includes the headwaters of the Rivers Severn, Wye, and Rheidol.
Objective
2.2 Objectives

The general aim of the project is to evaluate the operations, outputs and outcomes of the Pumlumon Project over the past 6 years (looking backwards) and scope the potential for developing closer links with beneficiaries in England (looking forwards).
There are three main objectives:
Objective 1: Carry out an Interim Evaluation of the Pumlumon Project
Objective 2: Create closer links with downstream beneficiaries in England
Objective 3: Produce a new Strategic Development Plan and Action Plan for Project for 2013-2018
The detailed tasks are outlined in the next section. Each task will be carried out jointly by an external contractor and the project team. The project team will be responsible for supplying data and information. The external contractor will provide impartial facilitation of discussions with partners and the public, impartial analysis and reporting of the evidence.
