Cetacean Strandings around the UK Coast - WC0601

Description
Summary Objectives:
To provide a coordinated approach to surveillance of cetacean strandings, and to investigate major causes of death of stranded cetaceans in the UK for a 3 year period from April 2007 until March 2010.

Key Customer Purpose:
Reliable and comparable data will lead to better understanding of the nature and extent and of cetacean strandings which in turn will enable better management. The information from this project ensures that the UK is delivering against its obligations under the Habitats Directive and ASCOBANS.
