Biochemical investigations into pancreas disease of salmon: role of nutrition (COMPLETED 6/92) - FC0408
|
Description
Summary Objective:-
Conduct research into Pancreatic Disease in Salmon and
investigate ways of altering the effects of the disease
through dietary control and the application of mammalian
pancreatic treatments. Establish rapid diagnostic tests for
the onset of PD.
Key Customer purpose:-
Enable a rational policy for dealing with PD to be developed
based on a better understanding of the disease, its
detection and treatment. |
Objective
To develop more rapid in vitro as well as in vivo diagnostic
tests for pancreas disease and thereby investigate the
biochemical events associated with the disease with a view
to developing nutritional means of ameliorating its effects.
