Phage control of campylobacters in poultry production (FQS 2) - joint with FSA - FT1003

Description
To isolate, compare and integrate a series of lytic bacteriophages against campylobacters and establish their host ranges with respect to reference strains. Another aim is to investigate the application of Campylobacter-specific bacteriophages as control measures against the source of infection in broiler houses. Also to evaluate scale-up procedures necessary to establish effective phage treatment stragegies for UK broiler houses.
