Veterinary Drug Reference Standards - VM02102

Description
The objective of the project is the synthesis, characterisation and provision at the level of Certified Reference Materials (CRMs) (prepared in accordance with ISO guideline 34 requirements) of gram quantities of flurogestone, megesterol, melengesterol and chloraphenicol glucuronide. Authentic standards of these materials are required for use by UK laboratories undertaking residue surveillance testing for these compounds.
The CRMs are required in the first instance by testing laboratories to permit full validation of their analytical methods. Improved traceability and increased confidence in and comparability of results obtained from different laboratories is the main result of the use of properly characterised CRMs.
