Continuous simulation modelling for flood estimation - FD0404

Description
Summary Objectives:-
To explore the feasibility of estimating flood frequency distributions, for design purposes, through the development and application of continuous rainfall-runoff modelling.

Key Customer Purpose:-
To develop an entirely new approach to flood estimation based on the continuous simulation of rainfall- runoff using computer modelling. This will enable MAFF to continue to inform operating authorities and consultants of design criteria for fluvial flood defence based on the best available scientific understanding.
