Scoping the assessment of sediment plumes arising from dredging. - AE0911

Description
Summary Objective:-
As part of an international consortium involving the dredging industry and regulators, assess the state of knowledge on the environmental impact of sediment plumes. Summarise and compare plume impacts generated by aggregate, capital and maintenance dredging operations that utilise a wide range of extraction methods e.g. suction, hopper, grab and hydrodynamic, to provide a comprehensive draft framework.

Key Customer Purpose:-
Assist MAFF by providing data to aid licensing decisions for the extraction of marine aggregates, at maintenance dredging sites such as harbours and for capital dredging initiatives e.g. for navigational channels.
