Contribution to Nitrate Conference - NT2208

Description
In 1999, MAFF hosted a Nitrate Conference which aimed to present and promote the research which has been carried out on nitrate losses from agricultural land. The aim of this project was to prepare a chapter summarising research on nitrate leaching from arable land and horticultural crops, and potential abatement strategies. Advances in knowledge over the last 10 years were covered, as were significant changes in advice or practice resulting from this research. This chapter was then presented at the conference. In addition, contributions were made to chapters of a Nitrate Conference booklet, and a bibliography was prepared in the agreed style of publications produced by IACR-Rothamsted based on research funded by the Nitrate Programme.
