Irrigation monitoring with synthetic aperture radar - CC0338

This NERC CASE studentship will aim to monitor irrigation using SAR data. Following acquisition and implementation of skills in modelling and SAR theory and practice, radar backscatter models will be developed. Models will be calibrated, validated and tested against empirical datasets collected from study sites. Methodology and grounding for a possible operational irrigation monitoring system will then be produced and precision levels of the methodology will be defined.
