Evaluation of the Food Processing Sciences and Agro Food Quality Link Programmes - FT0323
|
Description
A research contract to undertake an evaluation of the Food
Processing (FPS) and Agro Food Quality (AFQ) LINK
programmes.
|
Objective
a)Firstly, the evaluation is to look specifically at the two
food link programmes. Wherever possible quantitative
measures are sought in terms of scientific advances,
enhanced products and processes and economic benefits to the
industry and the nation in the medium and longer term.
b)Researchers will be aware that the AFQ scheme remains
open and that not all projects in the AFQ or FPS schemes
have yet been completed. A complete ex post evaluation of
this programme will not therefore be possible
c)Finally, the assessment should provide a critical
appraisal of the two programmes so as to draw out any points
for improvement to be incorporated in future LINK
programmes.
d)Finally, the assessment should provide a critical
appraisal of the two programmes so as to draw out any
points for improvement to be incorporated in future LINK
programmes.
The purpose of the evaluation is two fold: to establish the
degree to which the specific programme objectives of the two
LINK schemes have been achieved and value for money
secured, together with a wider assessment of the Ministrys
policy objectives that underly the LINK scheme. |
