The mechanism of wound-auxin interaction involved in the rooting of HNS cuttings - HH1210SHN

To determine the factors controlling rooting competence in shoots following wounding and auxin application through the following sub-objectives:
1. To use PGRs and genetic probes to measure how wounding and auxin affect rooting.
2. To determine how rooting can be induced in the absence of wounding, and whether the wound produces a transmissible signal in the shoot tissue.
3.To determine the role of flavonoids, and possibly polyamines, in the wound/auxin reaction.
