Objective
1 To liase with MAFF, CSL, LACOTS, Shropshire Trading Standards, Public Analysts, industry and KVW to evaluate current procedures and guidelines for enforcement of legislation concerning food contact materials (fcms) 2. To develop decision tree scheme for initial assessments of fcms and analytical decision tree scheme. To apply analytical scheme to a minimum of 4 main group polymers. 3. To produce a draft consultation document including decision tree approach for evaluating fcms. TSO/PA to validate scheme by applying to a test material. 4. To produce a practical guide for enforcement of fcm legislation.
