An investigation into the application of Measurement Uncertainty in Food Analysis - FS2913

The purpose of this project is to produce a practical protocol for use by food analysts to estimate their Measurement Uncertainty for a particular determination.
1. Compare the two approaches to calculating measurment uncertainty: (i) by measuring the individual components of the measurement procedure; (ii) from historical quality assurance data. 2. Prepare draft protocol for practical measurement of MU 3. Undertake assessement of protocol by interlaboratory study by Public Analysts. 4. Produce final report.
