The maintenance of a Pea Gene Bank (cont. of GC0103SFV). - GC0109SFV

Objective
(i) To maintain and characterise the collection of 3020 accessions within the pea collection.
(ii) To maintain and update associated databases with the collections. To identify gaps and complete records of basic characterisation for all accessions.
(iii) To actively collaborate with research groups and commercial organisations at both national and international levels in the improvement of the crop in terms of agronomoic, nutritional and industrial requirements.
(iv) To play an active role in the Grain Legume Group of the European Cooperative Programme and other international initiatives such as the cool season legumes database (COOLGENES, USDA, Washington, USA) and in being the contact site for host differentials for the UPOV guidelines and genetic stock centre for the Pisum.
