Pilot Study for Toxic Contamination of Food: Incident Identification and Collaboration - FS2407

Description
The pilot study will aim to identify and document previous episodes of toxic contamination of food in 1994/95 in order to develop an information database that may be used in the management of future episodes. A system for the surveillance for the identification, investigation and recording of incidents will be developed by collaborating with relevant government agencies (MAFF/DoH) and professional groups.
Objective
June-July 1995: Identification of sources of information June 95-March 96: Retrospective review of incidents March 96 - April 96: Development of strategy for communication and collaboration between responsible agencies.
