Collaborative trials of analytical methods - safety - FS2904

Description
Methods of analysis are an integral part of legislation both directly by incorporation or by reference; such methods need to be validated by collaborative trial before inclusion in legislation. This project enables such methods to be fully validated.
Objective
The UK will gain as it will ensure that its methods in legislation are satisfactory, ie have been properly validated. The programme will ensure that the MAFF bulletins on Validated Methods of Analysis, which are particularly important given the provisions of the Additional Measures Food Control Directive is supplemented by methods of concern to the Ministry.
