Bovine feeding studies using ammonia detoxified groundnut derivative - CS0103

1. The project objectives may be summarised as follows: (a) to establish the pattern for the excretion of aflaxtoxin M1 in milk, over time, when feeding ammonia-treated groundnut derivative originally contaminated with a high level (750 ppb total) of aflatoxin; (b) to establish the toxicity and mutagenicity of milk produced by cows fed ammonia-treated diets; (c) to examine the safety of the products of two chemical detoxification processes operating at medium (ca 50 psi) and low (ca 20 psi) pressures.
