Deregulation Methodology - FS1812

Description
This project will develop a methodology, based on classic risk concepts, th provide MAFF with an objective ranking measure for helping with their review of regulations within the context of the current deregulation initiative.
Objective
To issue a report describing a risk ranking methodology, modified to reflect the discussion at the seminar of the initial methodology, providing a summary of available risk assessment approaches for the evaluation of regulatory policy and indicating how the methodology could be applied by MAFF. That application will be considered in terms of producing a risk ranking of current MAFF regulations and identifying opportunitiesto improve the cost benefit balance of regulations which are judged to be potential candidates for review.
