R&D Summary Objectives:- Describe the behaviour of migratory salmonids in estuaries and rivers as affected by changing flow regimes and other significant environmental factors. Key customer purpose:- Enable MAFF to approve applications for fish passes and assess the likely impact of river obstructions, reduced flows etc.
Objective
1.To describe the behaviour of migratory salmonids in estuaries and rivers as affected by changing flow regimes and other significant environmental or man-made factors. 2.To advise the SAC and government on the migratory behaviour of adult salmon in estuaries and rivers, as required. 3.To advise on the design and siting of fish passes.
