The investigation and evaluation of ion chromatographic separations for the rapid separation of actinide elements - RP0305

Description
A feasibility study will be carried out for the separation of plutonium and anericium from foodstuffs. Appropriate pre-concentration, extraction and ion chromatographic separations will be investigated.
Objective
A final report will be prepared which will provide MAFF with a detailed assessment of novel pre-concentration, extraction and ion chromatographic separation techniques for actinides in food stuffs.
