Monitoring the chemical quality of freshwater fish in relation to the Water Act 1989 - AE0402

Non R&D Summary Objectives:- Identify and measure contaminants in freshwater fish to assess whether these contaminants pose a hazard to the aquatic environment or human health. Key customer purpose:- Protection of fisheries and consumers over and above that provided by NRA controls, as occasionally needed.
To assess concentrations in freshwater fish of contaminants thought to have arisen from sources controlled by the Water Act 1989 and which may pose a hazard to the aquatic environment or to human consumers of the fish.
