Development of a protoype evidence tracking tool to support the UK Plant Health Risk Register - PH0482

The aim of this project is to develop a prototype tool that will support the use of the UK Plant Health Risk Register by providing a means of tracking underlying evidence that supports ratings of mitigated and unmitigated risks in relation to specific pests and diseases. To develop the prototype tool, we will work with a number of case studies that provide examples on contrasting levels of evidence, including cases where risk ratings across a number of pests or diseases may relate to the same piece of evidence.
1. To identify, in conjunction with the Defra project officer, a number of case studies from the PHRR to work with, to provide a range of evidence types and quantities.

2. To hold a workshop with users to identify the types of evidence that should be stored and how they should be classified.

3. To develop a prototype operational web-based evidence tool that links PHRR risk ratings, evidence and arguments in a single user-interface.

4. To identify lessons learned and opportunities for further development of the evidence tool in the context of the PHRR.
