Business Resource Efficiency – Quantification of the no cost/low cost resource efficiency opportunities in the UK economy in 2014 - EV0482

Description
This study provides an estimate of financial savings available to UK economic sectors if resource efficiency interventions are made which have no or low cost. In the context of this study, ‘no-cost/low-cost’ interventions refer to ‘quick-win’ savings opportunities with a payback of less than one-year.
The focus of the study is on three key resources:
• Energy consumption.
• Raw material consumption or the generation of waste.
• Water consumption.
Objective
To update the estimates of the no cost or low cost savings opportunities from resource efficiency activities by UK business. These were last published in 2011.
