Litter Composition in England: Supplementary survey of selected sites - EQ0110
|
Description
This is a report of the results from a litter composition survey. The areas surveyed were selected to target areas not covered by other available datasets. Within that constraint, the areas were as geographically diverse as possible, and the transects selected covered a specified variety of land use types.
The transects and local authorities were also selected to reflect the variance in social deprivation.
The results from this survey should not be scaled up to national level, or taken as representative of the national picture on litter on their own.
|
Objective
The primary objective of this survey is to supplement available data, much of which is Citizen Science data, by providing counts of litter across a range of land use types and levels of social deprivation, to help develop the ‘baseline’ for the National Litter Strategy. |
