Validation of Alternative Landfill Emissions Testing Methods - WR1914

Description
Previous surveys (outlined in WR1125 and WR1906) identified the DIAL method as the most robust method of measuring landfill emissions directly. However, access issues due to the size of the equipment and the expense of the method preclude a large scale survey. The focus has therefore shifted to identifying a cheaper method with fewer constraints.

The Environment Agency has identified a number of potential methods, and Defra is supporting their work by carrying out a number of contiguos Dial surveys to determine how feasible these alternative methods are.
Objective
To determine the feasibility of alternative methane measuring methods in conjunction with work being carried out by the Environment Agency
