Preparation of a series of Policy and Practice Notes based on findings from the Insect Pollinators Initiative - PH0519
|
Description
The UK Research Councils' Relu (Rural Economy and Land Use) Programme has established a well-known, impactful and respected series of Policy and Practice Notes, targeted at an established database of several thousand stakeholders (from the public, private and third sectors) and social and natural science researchers in the UK. A similar series will be developed for the Insect Pollinator Initiative (IPI), capitalising on the recognition factor of the Relu brand and its established audience. |
Objective
• The new series will be known as the IPI Note series. It would retain a similar header and basic layout of the Relu notes, possibly using a different colour.
• Front page information will be in the same format, but with an IPI identifier. Content/contact details would be appropriate to IPI.
• Researchers will provide an appropriate front page photo or this could be sourced during the design process.
• The text will be written in accessible format, using basic question and answer technique and bullet points, as in the Relu series. Recommendations for action would be included. This approach has been popular with stakeholders, gaining very positive feedback.
