Development of Methodology for the Analysis of Pb-210 and Po-210 in Environmental Materials. - RP0304

Description
Current techniques for the analysis of Pb-210 and Po-210 date back to the 1960's, the object of this project is to develope improved methods. A review of exsisting methods will be conducted, evaluateing them for sensitivity, time, cost and suitability to a wide range of food types. Exsisting methods will be refined and new ones developed where appropriate.
Objective
The final objective of this project is to develope methods for the analysis of Pb-210 and Po-210 in environmental materials and specifically in foodstuffs. These methods will be those that give the greatest sensitivity in the most cost effective way.
