Imported meat point of destination sampling (IMPoDS) - FS2601

Description
Samples of muscle, liver and kidney from imported meat consignments will be obtained from cold-storage facilities throughout the UK. Samples will be packaged and labelled for despatch to MAFF Food Science Laboratory, Norwich.
Objective
To provide a UK-wide sampling programme for specified animal products for onward transmission to MAFF Food Science Laboratory for co-ordination of veterinary residues analysis. The following numbers of samples will be collected: Cattle muscle 100 Cattle liver 250 Cattle kidney 200 Calf liver 100 Calf kidney 100 Poultry muscle 100 Pig muscle 100 Pig liver 250 Pig kidney 300 Sheep liver 200 Sheep kidney 200
