Evidence on the costs of new build sewers under different conditions and standards - WT1505

This project will improve policy understanding of the costs to developers of implementation of section 42 of the Flood and Water Management Act.
The project objective is to examine three case studies representing large, small and minor scale developments to determine for each the full costs which would be incurred when building to the requirements of Building Regulations compared to when building to an adoptable standard as defined by the Secretary of State Standards for foul sewers and lateral drains. Each case study should demonstrate the costs imposed by three Sewerage Undertakers, one of which is to be Welsh Water, and should provide an assessment of other costs as detailed in the project specification.
