Contribution to The Credibility of Sustainability reports and Carbon Data - EV0456

Description
Carbon Smarts credibility of reporting research project aims at defining best practice assurance and identify reporting companies who are leaders in the field. We will do this by scoring and ranking the sustanability and carbon assurance statements of all the FTSE350 against practice criteria (defined by an independent advisory panel)
Objective
• Define best practice assurance
• Provide a guideline to reporters about what assurance approaches are regarded as
most credible
• Increase the level of awareness among the investment community about the added
value of assurance and the different approaches
• Provide a tool to enable investors engage with publicly listed companies on
sustainability and carbon disclosure issues
• Encourage publicly listed companies to provide reliable sustainability and carbon data
