(CHIME) - Chemical Hazards and Impacts in the Marine Environment - ME5204

Description
Summary Objective: To review existing research and techniques, fill knowledge gaps and plan for the future in relation to chemical hazards and impacts in the marine environment. This will be in 5 modules; passive sampling; emerging contaminants; flood risk sediments; modifiers to chemical risk and Human Exposure to chemical contaminants
Key Customer Purpose: Understanding of the impacts of chemicals in the marine environment remains a priority issue for Defra as part of its multiple national and international commitments (Water Framework Directive, Climate Change Directive, UK Marine Bill and the EU Marine Strategy). It is recognised that chemicals, both known and as yet unidentified, will continue to be an important consideration in the pursuit of clean, healthy and biologically diverse seas. |
