Mapping waste in the food industry - FO0209
|
Description
The Food and Drink Federation (FDF) are sending out a questionnaire to its 350 members in support of its environmental ambition to send zero food and packaging waste to landfill by 2015. The returns from this questionnaire require processing by a knowledgeable yet independent researcher. This will be accomplished by logging all the data on an Excel or Access database, and creating summary reports aggregating waste by: Waste type Disposal/recycling route Geographical location We will use mapping software that is compatible with Excel/Access to create geographical distribution maps by county. The data will be validated by checking a small sample (c.8-10 questionnaires) by fax or telephone. This is simply to ensure that understanding of the questionnaire and of the guidance notes was adequate. A final report will then be generated from the summary reports. |
