Description
GMES is a joint EC/European Space Agency programme aiming to exploit data obtained from terrestrial, airborne and space-based instruments to deliver a suite of services that will assist policy and decision makers to anticipate and manage situations of environmental stress and to enhance civil security. Defra funding, along with contributions from DIUS, NERC and MoD will help the development of satellite-borne instruments to monitor the key aspects of the terrestrial and marine environment |
