Extension of air quality damage costs - EP01013

Description

Describes the approach and methodology used to derive the damage costs for air pollution for Defra as part of the Air Quality Strategy Review. It is stressed that the use of damage cost estimates is only recommended in certain circumstances e.g.:
·as part of a filtering mechanism to narrow down a wide range of policy options to a smaller number that are then taken forward for more comprehensive assessment;
·where air quality impacts are expected to be ancillary to the primary objectives.
