Evaluation of the National Top-up to the EU School Milk Subsidy in England - ER02048

Description
The evaluation is intended to provide an initial assessment of the national top-up element of the EU’s school milk subsidy. In particular, the study will review and critically assess the scheme’s rationale, the suitability and effectiveness of the scheme in helping to promote consumption of school milk, the take-up by Local Education Authorities (LEAs), the effect on the price of milk and whether the scheme makes a meaningful contribution to achieving Government objectives. The evaluation will consider whether the scheme has had any unintended effects and to make recommendations on possible areas for making more effective and efficient use of resources allocated to the scheme.
