Validation of monoclonal antibodies for detection of the potato ring rot bacterium - PH0401

Description
This project aims to complete validation of newly selected monoclonal antibodies for the diagnosis of the potato ring rot pathogen, Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. sepedonicus. Validated antibodies will be used for improved diagnosis and surveys for this pathogen.
Objective
1. Harvest antibodies from a series of selected cell lines producing monoclonal antibodies to the ring rot bacterium (Cms).
2. Determine specificity and sensitivity of these antibodies in the immunofluorence (IF) assay.
3. Compared selected monoclonal antibodies with commercial antibodies in the IF assay.
4. Determine their potential for use in lateral flow device formats.
