Revealing the value of the environment in England - RE0225

Description
The purpose of the research is to provide a desk-based analysis of the level and value of economic activity in England that is currently dependent upon the natural environment. The results of the study will be used to promote the economic benefits of the environment and environmental protection.
Specific objectives of the research are to provide an estimate of the economic benefit of the environment in England and produce a brief summary of the non-market benefits of the environment.
Objective
To provide an estimate of the economic benefits of the environment in England primarily in terms of full time equivalent jobs, but also noting the contribution to national income and any effects the environment may have on investment levels/patterns. Aggregate estimates will be provided and where possible figures will be broken down by industrial sector, region and type of environmental use.

To produce a brief summary of the non-market benefits of the environment, including examples from current literature.
