Biosercurity state of the art review in animal disease and animal health - SD0308
Description
The present study is intended as a “state of the art” of the science and technology affecting present and future biosecurity work. The four organisations (CSL, VLA, IAH, CEFAS) are heavily involved in biosecurity issues and strategy and should therefore have a current perspective on this area of expertise. The purpose of the proposed study is to provide a brief synopsis of present thinking in the agencies together with a more extensive view of the future possibilities in terms of techniques, emerging technologies and legislation. The forward look should take account of potential future trends and new developments internationally. The results from this analysis can be integrated into the major Defra funded project “ A new agenda for biosecurity” at Imperial College , London.
