Improving Our Understanding of Climate Change in Relation to Marine Habitats and Species (MCCIP ME4121 cont.) - ME3204
|
Description
Summary Objectives To investigate, inform, advise and encourage action, in order to adapt to the challenges and opportunities presented by the impacts of climate change in the marine environment.
Key Customer Purpose MCCIP aims to provide a national framework for the coordination of marine partners in Great Britain and Ireland, that will facilitate the sharing and transfer of high-quality climate change impacts evidence. It will draw on this evidence base to produce a clear message for understanding climate change on the marine environment for the public, politicians, policy advisors and decision-makers. MCCIP will lay the foundation for longer term analyses for the prioritisation of research aimed at increasing our ability to manage and, where possible, mitigate against the impacts of climate change on the marine environment.
