SUMMARY OBJECTIVE:
To manage the FM research theme that describes and quantifies the importance of physical, geological and morphological processes in rivers and coastal areas.

KEY CUSTOMER PURPOSE:
To ensure that the joint EA / Defra FM R&D research programme provides sound science for technically feasible and environmentally acceptable flood and coastal management schemes which are sustainable in the long term
