Description
Summary Objectives:
By way of literature review and expert discussions, to assess the sedimentary record of present and past changes in the status of the marine environment, through the last century and beyond, and to identify those sedimentary indicators most appropriate to use to establish past status.
Key Customer Purpose:
The results will facilitate the provision of information directly relevant to the needs of the UK government in developing evidence-based information to distinguish anthropogenic from natural changes in the marine environment.
