Support for PSDs data evaluation and risk assessment activities - PS2211
|
Description
To support its regulatory activities, the Pesticides Safety Directorate has an occasional requirement for specialist advice relating to modelling and risk assessment methods or to the interaction between pesticide fate and the broader environment (soil, climate, cropping characteristics) in the UK and Europe. Requirements range from ad hoc information on specific issues to short-term projects to support operational matters. The proposed work aims to provide a basic level of support for PSD that will enable them to access rapid-response specialist advice from specific Cranfield staff. Response to individual requests for advice will be made within an agreed timescale and regular updates of the work undertaken provided to PSD. |
Objective
1. To provide support for PSD’s data evaluation and risk assessment activities and to respond to individual PSD requests for specialist advice within an agreed timescale;
2. To keep a record of all contacts and advice provided to PSD, to inform DEFRA of the level of support given and to notify DEFRA and PSD when the support provided is close to its agreed maximum level.
