Review of Vitamin E Deficiency Survey - LS3635

Description
This project will review the Vitamin E Deficiency survey by Reading University of UK farmers organised through the National Sheep Association and funded by DEFRA in 2000 (Project code LS3401).

Recommendations will be made on areas of future research that might be considered for funding.
Such information will enable DEFRA to make decisions on project funding that will ultimately lead to a better understanding of the Vitamin E Deficiency problem and likely management strategies that could overcome this serious threat to the welfare and production of lambs in the UK sheep industry

The consultants involved are experts in the fields of sheep physiology, reproduction and nutrition and will use their wide knowledge and expertise of Vitamin E Deficiency including information from other known sources in making their comments.
Objective

2. To make recommendations to DEFRA on:
A) information that can be provided as guidelines to the UK Sheep industry
B) research projects which could be considered for funding
Recommendations will be based on the survey outcome and relevant scientific literature.
