Best practice in coastal flood forecasting - FD2206

Description
PROJECT CLOSING STATEMENT:
The outputs of this project will be of interest to all involved in operational real time flood forecasting modelling. The technical report supports the Guide to the Best Practice in Coastal Flood Forecasting (CFF) that is intended to assist the Environment Agency staff in developing CFF services, the Agency own and maintain this document.

SUMMARY OBJECTIVE:
To evaluate present best practice, and develop standard methodology for utilising existing and future tidal and weather information in operational flood forecasting and warning.

KEY CUSTOMER PURPOSE:
To issue guidance that will improve the accuracy, reliability and timeliness of coastal flood forecasting.
