A specific dot blotting assay for bovine PrPsc - SE1769
|
Description
The main objective is to further develop, and especial~ increase the rapidity of, a diagnostic DOT blotting technique that detects bovine PrPsc but not ovine PrP c. Initially, the work will focus on brain tissue from bovine BSE and ovine scrapie cases and normal controls that have already been provided by MAFF. This objective falls within Research Requirement 1. 1 "The development of rapid tests for the diagnosis and differentiation of TSEs" of TSER & SU Research Requirements Document 2001?2002). |
