This Technical Report gives the current state of information on the effects of rural land use and soil management on flood generation. It proposes and costs a reasoned research programme of inclusion of land management in flood impact estimation.


Summary Objective;
To give the current state of information from past and ongoing work of effects of rural land use and soil management on flood generation; to propose and cost a reasoned research programme of inclusion of land management in flood impact estimation.

Key Customer Purpose:
To produce a cross-disciplinary review of knowledge of the effect of land use on flood risk and `plan` research programme.
