The fate, availability and effect of contaminants in the presence of environmental modifiers - AE1141

Description
Summary Objective:-
Undertake a comprehensive review of the effects of environmental modifiers such as light and surfactants on metals and trace organics, e.g. tributyltin. Through laboratory experiments, assess the existing ecotoxicological methods and recommend scientifically robust, cost effective alternatives.

Key Customer Purpose:-
As part of UK initiatives to prioritise hazardous substances, provide authoritative advice on risk assessment methodology in response to national and international legislation such as the Control of Pesticide regulations and Biocides Directive.
