A Nutrient Based Feeding System for Dairy cows - LS3608
|
Description
The system will predict, in terms of milk and milk constituent (lactose, fat, and protein) yield, responses to dietary manipulation at any point in the lactation.
The proposed research will build on work previously commissioned by MAFF through the Snowball and Feed-into-Milk projects, to create a user friendly, nutrient based feeding system relevant to the UK dairy industry and useful to farmers and nutritionists.
This research is in keeping with the strategy described in MAFF’s recently revised ROAME A for LS36.
