SOWER 2000 - SF0106

Description
SO: To fund four marine mammal observers on the UK research vessel - the James Clarke Ross as part of a co-operative programme of environmental research between the International Whaling Commissi0on and the Conservation of Antartic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR). The observers will collect specified data on all marine mammal sightings during the Antactric research cruise.


KCP: To support the IWC component of the international survey; Southern Ocean Whale and Ecosystem Research Programme (SOWER 2000) which includes collaboration with the USA Global Ocean Ecosystem Dynamics programme (GLOBEC) and CCAMLR programme.
